Our staff are not happy with some new women customers who have not had an Asian massage previously and have unrealistic expectations as to what one session can achieve.
Consequently, we are limiting bookings for a massage to women customers who have not previously been to our Spa.
New women customers are limited initially to 30 minutes Chinese or Thai relaxing massage, depending on the masseur available.
A booking is confirmed when the masseur accepts the customer on arrival as being in a suitable physical and mental position to receive treatment and payment is received for the advertised service.
Additionally we reserve the right to switch a booking to another customer who has a better record of arriving on time for previous bookings. The no-show customer is only given future bookings as standby bookings. This means a customer with an excellent record can take that booking if required.
If you suffer from a chronic or persistent body pain, then you should first seek advice from a clinician, such as your GP, as to the course of treatment to be followed.
In the event that the treatment programme includes massage, please let us have sight of the programme in order that we can follow it.
Our customers tell us they do not like the masseur having to stop their massage and go and speak to another customer. If you are near the Spa and want to check if you can come in, text or call our mobile and the duty receptionist will tell you if we are free now..
The full body massage is used to improve your circulation and promote relaxation through soothing your muscles. The technique involves soft strokes over areas prone to pain where there is not much muscle cover and increased pressure where more muscles are present.
You can undress to your underwear and put a towel over you if you feel cold.
Chinese massage goes back as a complementary therapy for over 1,000 years. It is used to sooth away a variety of aches and pains, both physical and mental.
It is also used with deep tissue manipulation for dealing with sports injuries, or following joint manipulation by a chiropractor. It also helps to release knotted muscles.
It should not be confused with American terminology, which is used to conceal illegal activities.
Due to the data protection legislation in England, we cannot send pictures of our staff to propective customers. We also require customers to refrain from taking pictures inside the Spa that includes a member of staff, without written permission including a model release form signed by the staff members concerned. Our staff have told us they do not wish to risk appearing in some jokers deepfake videos. We respect their concerns.
English Law requires that massage premises are licensed under a "Massage and Special Treatment Licence". In some jurisdictions the masseurs are also required to be approved by the local authority, before they can work as masseurs.. They may also have to be separately approved at similar premises in other local authority areas that they work in.
This means that our business needs to comply with these licensing requirements or risk closure.
Any request which could result in our business being in breach of its licence will be declined. This will result in the receptionist disconnecting the call if it involves a request for a sexual service. Requests for photographs or the personal or physical details of our staff will also be declined, as these are also a breach of licence.
Please also note we are not an escort agency,
.
We use British English. The Oxford dictionary defines a masseur as "a person who provides massage therapy professionally". Therefore it is gender neutral, which is consistent with modern culture.
